Rerooted Ascension
Rerooted Ascension was founded in 2026 in Contra Costa County with a vision of creating stronger, more consistent pathways of support for young people. The organization grew from recognizing the barriers many young people encounter while transitioning into adulthood and navigating disconnected systems and resources. Our first initiatives focus on transitional-age young adults (ages 18–24) through relationship-centered programming that promotes stability, personal growth, community connection, and youth voice.
Today, Rerooted Ascension has grown from an idea into an officially recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a founding board, an established mission, vision, and a developing public presence. Our team has created the foundation for our first programs serving transitional-age young adults (ages 18–24), including The Ascent Program and Getting Rooted, while beginning a community needs assessment to better understand local strengths, barriers, and service gaps.
We are most proud of the intentional foundation we are building. Instead of rushing to duplicate services that already exist, we are working to develop relationship-centered programs that respond to unmet needs, strengthen young people’s voices, and provide consistent support over time. Each step brings us closer to creating programs shaped with young people—not simply for them.
